Meet this handsome gentleman, Bo!

Bo was sadly found straying, this also means we have no history on his life prior to Battersea.

Bo has been up and down with stress since he has been under our care. He will sometimes be up at the bars stressing, sometimes vocal for attention also. Though his stress are only snippets he can settle quite nicely on his bed when he wants to.

To tie into the above, he can be very excited and can forget his manners at times. Staff here try to keep on top of his off cue and 4 paw work to help with his over-excitableness!. Bo is generally pretty good with his training and has become a lot more responsive to the work we have put in. His new owners must ensure to keep on top of this when in his new home so he doesn't regress. Stress is a big player in his behaviour and Bo has been in a very stressful block and has done well to keep as calm as he does, though in a loving home we are sure his stress will become minimal once settled.

Bo can be a very strong boy, and does have a tendency to pull hard on lead when he wants to, so new owners must be able to physically handle him. He is however very responsive to handler for a little biscuits or other high value food. New owners must be on top of his loose lead walking marking his calm behaviours regularly before he goes back to pulling. Stop start has also been working with him.

Bo has shown to be a sociable lad, though can be a typical bully type and be quite full on with his playing style. Bo will need to be in the only dog in the home.

Mr Bo could be a great project dog for someone, so he will be looking for owners who have experience with the breed as well as dealing with the behaviours described above. His training will need to be kept on top of so he can be the best version of his self moving forward. Bo is a lovely lad, he just needs some guidance so he can show his true love to his new owners. where we are 100% his new owners will adore him!
