We’re opening our doors and welcoming visitors for tours of our iconic London centre.
Tour dates for 2024 will be released mid-December.
A tour of Battersea offers a unique chance to get a closer look at our work, while also helping the dogs and cats at our centres and beyond. Tours last 45 minutes - 1 hour and are for a maximum of twelve people. They will be led by our amazing staff.
It costs £9.10 per person with an optional 90p donation, excluding booking fees. You can book your tour below.
Attending a tour
As well as a behind the scenes look at Battersea’s work, you’ll pay a visit to our kennels and cattery, hear how our hydrotherapy pool and state of the art clinic transform the lives of so many animals, stop off at our outdoor exercise paddocks, and learn more about our 160 years of history and experience.
On the day of the tour, we ask that you please arrive 10 minutes early so that we can start on time, and that all children under the age of 16 are accompanied by an adult. While we’ll do everything we can to ensure the content of the tour stays the same, operational demands may lead to last minute cancellations or changes. See below for our FAQs and Terms and Conditions.

The safety and wellbeing of our animals is our priority so unfortunately you will not be able to touch any of the dogs and cats in their kennels or cat pens. You may be able to meet a Battersea dog and cat, depending on availability.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to bring your dog (or any animals) on the tour.

If you would like to rearrange a booked tour for a different day, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 0800 001 4444. Please be aware that if you are contacting us less than 24 hours before your tour is due to take place, we cannot guarantee that we’ll be able to arrange an alternative date for you.
If you are unable to attend a tour then we would be happy to offer you a refund or arrange an alternative date, if you get in touch at least 24 hours before the tour is due to start. If you do need a refund for your order you will still be required to pay the Eventbrite booking fee and we will not be able to refund the 90p donation (if you chose this ticket type). If you do not show up for a booked tour without informing us that you can no longer make it then unfortunately we will not be able to provide a refund.
Our staff will be happy to answer any questions that you may have on the tour, however if you are interested in rehoming an animal you will need to fill in an online application form and wait to be contacted about making a rehoming appointment. You will not be able to apply to rehome or find out about the progress of an existing application on the tour.
