More about BUMPER

Bumper is an energetic Husky who is based at our Old Windsor site, if after reading his information you would like to know more, please email bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk

He is looking for Husky experienced owners who can confidently commit to the training he needs, as he has a number of areas where he will need plenty of consistency from his owners. He will also need regular brushing and grooming.

Bumper is a chatty boy and does like to make himself known. He enjoys playing with toys, especially tennis balls and also eating treats so this will help with future training.

He is a sociable dog with people however he can jump up and be a little over stimulated so is learning some manners and how to greet people politely. He can sometimes get overwhelmed on his walks, especially if there is a lot going on, and will react by jumping up at people or trying to pull away on lead. He has some training in place to help, but he will need owners who can take him to quieter locations as he is settling in, and who feel comfortable to manage him.

He will need an adult only home with no visiting children. New owners will also need to be confident handling a larger, strong dog when out and about on walks.

Bumper is keen to greet other dogs but can sometimes be a bit too much for them. He will need ongoing socialisation with other dogs that are tolerant of him but we are advising new owners to keep him on the lead on walks.

Due to his breed type he will need a home with a private and secure garden where he can burn off his energy and utilise this area for house training. Bumper is currently work in progress, but will be very rewarding.

Bumper is a loyal dog and will make a great dog for the Husky enthusiast. If you are interested in rehoming him please email bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk or call 01784 494443.

If you have not registered yet, please do so on the Battersea website https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehoming before getting in touch. Thank you.
